Old England Hotel Sponsors Banyule Festival

The Banyule Council's annual community Festival will be held on 27 & 28 March.

The Old England continues to be a Festival sponsor as it has done for more than 15 years.

The festival takes place under the canopy of the magnificent trees on the banks of the Yarra at Sills Bend in Heidelberg.  It has become one of the most prominent free outdoor multi arts festivals in metropolitan Melbourne.  We hope you will get the opportunity to enjoy the many festivities on offer.

Peter Gago, Penfolds Chief winemaker had this to say about this latest release: "A textbook example of a cool climate shiraz from a warm year.  Flavours and structure genetically aligned to its source - Coonawarra".  He sounds pretty happy with this wine and so are we!

Green tobacco & parsley with a waft of red liquorice.  Fresh dark ripe fruits abound, with mulberry the most obvious

Rhubarb and dark berries join with crushed black pepper, integrating wonderfully with French oak & back bone of spices
