Spotlight on Amadio Wines Adelaide Hills
Although a relatively new label to us in Melbourne, Amadio has been in the South Australian restaurant scene for 20 years and has also been exported to numerous countries. Giovanni Amadio started it all back in 1936 and now his grandson Danniel is picking up the reins and producing fantastic wines. Drop in on Saturday 19th July for a complimentary tasting.
Amadio Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2005 With 3 Gold and 2 Blue Gold Medals you would expect this Shiraz to be expensive. The quality of the fruit and the overall balance of the wine is stunning.
Colour: Vibrant brick red Bouquet: Fresh picked dark plums and blueberries reach out to entice. Hints of French oak & mocha linger underneath. Palate: Spices, dark chocolate & coffee mingle perfectly with the superbly balanced American & French oaks. The length of flavour is amazing, it just seems to go on for every but with absolutely no sharp edges. A mus try wine and a bargain at this price. Once again, this is an amazing wine. This label will become a benchmark style for other Rosés. A perfect match with olives, Turkish bread & blue cheese.
